As if the closest tattoo parlour wants $80 JUST TO TOUCH UP MY CROSS TATTOO ON MY WRIST THAT IS ONLY A CENTIMETRE AND A HALF BIG

That’s probably just the base price for the shop. All shops have a base price of anywhere from $50-$100. No matter how small the tattoo, it costs them a lot to set everything up, but supplies, etc.

okay i’m getting so stressed out because i was gonna get a tattoo on my wrist on monday but i just looked online and it’s apparently the worst place to get a tattoo in terms of future employment but omg i want it so bad what do i do

Well what do you plan on doing for a career? Honestly, this is something that you should have looked in to LONG before making the appointment.
Depending on the size/exact placement of the tattoo, it could be covered with a bracelet/watch. I suggest drawing on the design and finding things to cover it with just incase you ever need to for a job.
You could also just wear long sleeves.
But I have a wrist tattoo, and spent MONTHS planning the exact placement on my wrist, what I’d do for jobs, etc. I’m going into illustration, so it’s not a huge deal for me since many artists are tattooed.
I’ve also heard that the opinions of tattoos in the workplace are changing. As long as you don’t have anything offensive/scary you -could- be okay.
Good luck at the appointment!
